We want you to get the care you deserve.

Supporting positive behaviours

We believe that people want to do well and please others. Sometimes they have particular challenges that make this difficult. Dauntless Support Services are committed to partnering with NDIS participants and their support teams to support positive behaviours.

At Dauntless Support Services, we recognise that every individual's journey is unique, and we are dedicated to providing tailored support that addresses the specific needs and aspirations of each NDIS participant. Our team of highly trained professionals is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome barriers, harness their potential, and lead fulfilling lives. We emphasise a collaborative approach, working closely with families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic, person-centered care plan.

Understanding the importance of trust and consistency, we ensure that every interaction is grounded in respect, empathy, and genuine care. Our programs are not just about managing behaviors but more about understanding the underlying causes, celebrating achievements, and building lifelong skills. We are steadfast in our mission to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve, offering them the tools and guidance they need to flourish.

NDIS Behaviour Support

What do Behaviour Support Practitioners do?

Behaviour Support Practitioners in the NDIS work with you to identify and develop a plan for managing any concerning behaviours that are challenging to deal with. These may include aggression, running away, not listening to instructions, stealing, withdrawal and self-isolation, self-harm, sexualised behaviours, or anything else that damages relationships with others or prevents participants from achieving their goals.

Our Behaviour Support Practitioners work collaboratively with the participant, their support staff and other involved services to coordinate strategies for managing challenging behaviours, providing training, education, support and monitoring to help support the participant in positive behavioural choices.

Funding

Behaviour support in the NDIS is included in participant’s plans under the ‘Improved Relationships’ funding. If this heading appears in your plan, you have funding for behaviour support, and are able to access help with our behaviour support team.

What if I don’t have Improved Relationships funding?

If you do not currently have funding for this support in your plan, but feel that you need it to help in managing some concerning behaviours, get in touch with us to talk about your situation. We may be able to help you with the process of requesting a plan review to access the supports you need.
